La Pamplilla Refinery - RLP-21 - Adapting the fuel quality of middle distillates
The aim of the project was to adapt the treatment process to include new naphtha units for the purpose of producing gasoline that meets new Peruvian regulations, 50 ppm sulfur, and improving gasoline.
The new facilities included: new naphtha hydrotreatment units and SRU, a new light naphtha isomerization unit, a new unit to reform heavy naphtha, and a new facility to house the electrical substation and the control rack room for the new naphtha units. The project was launched in May 2015, construction began in 2016, and the process units were commissioned in 2018.
