Block 57 is operated by Repsol with a 53.84% holding, and the Chinese firm CNPC, with a 46.16% holding, and is located in the lower basin of the River Urubamba, central forest, district of Megantoni, province of La Convencion, department of Cuzco, 440 km east of Lima.
The Nuevo Mundo gas compressor station project (U400) is part of the development and production facilities for gas reserves in the Kinteroni and Sagari fields.
The compression station can handle gas production of 268 MMScfd and generate electrical energy according to the capacity of the Compression plant. From Nuevo Mundo, the gas is piped to the Falklands Plan for processing and subsequent market distribution.
Construction began on the Nuevo Mundo compression station project (U400) in September 2016 and was successfully completed following 1,800,000 hours work on site with “zero” LTI.
SacyrFluor is currently responsible for the non-commercial operation and maintenance of the Nuevo Mundo Compression Station (U400).
