Sacyr receives the dual “calculo y reduzco” seal for the third consecutive year after cutting its carbon emissions by 8%14/09/2021
Sacyr has received up its third “Calculo-Reduzco” (Calculate-Reduce) seal, a distinction granted by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, for reducing its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its activities in Spain.
This distinction recognizes Sacyr’s efforts to reduce the average intensity of its emissions by 8.41% in 2018-2020 for scopes 1, 2, and 3 compared to 2017-2019.
The “Calculo-Reduzco” seal is granted to organizations that calculate and record their carbon footprint for a minimum of four years, have a plan to reduce their GHG emissions, and bring this reduction commitment to fruition, with the Ministry’s validation.
The renewal of this seal is a direct consequence of our commitment to sustainability as one strategic line of the 2021-2025 Plan, which promotes our goal to be carbon neutral by 2050, which is framed within the context of this initiative.
The “Calculo-Reduzco” seal includes all Sacyr's activities in Spain and can be consulted at the Ministry for Ecological Transition’s website:
